Massey Harris V-8 conv.

Well Ive seen them done before and finally want to stray away from a full factory resto and try one for fun. Ive seen them done on 22, 33, 44 models etc. Any info on if there is an easier model to work with on this project and what Iam looking for as far as mating the V-8 drivetrain to the massey coupling. I will be using a GM setup Thx

We just bought a massey 44-6 with a gm straight six bolted in it. it fits nicely other than the hood and fuel tank were lifted to accompany the carb on it. As for the model to use. The 22s have a stamped steel frame that would be easy to modify but they might be a little light duty. Figure they had a 20hp engine in them spinning about 1500 rpms. The 44s are a dime a dozen and are pretty solid units and if you get into the 53 and newer the would have good disc brakes. Good luck and i hope this helps.
