Massey Head

I just got the head back on my massey and she fired back to life without a problem.
Do any of you think I should re-torque the head bolts after I run it awhile?

That engine is built by perkins to MF spec"s and they didn"t put enough head bolts in it. so they came out with several mod"s different studs and nuts. and changed the torque and somewhere there is a spec to turn the nuts so many degrees after the first torque. but retorqueing is a MUST...if you dont want a leaking gasket....

How long should I wait before I torque them again? The manual says 25-50 hours which is a big span of time. I've already ran it long enough to warm it up a couple of times so I thought about checking the torque now and maybe doing it again after I run it 25 or so hours. What do you guys think?

I didn't get around to it right away on my Oliver 1600 (gas) and at less than 12 hours it blew the gasket. When I replaced the gasket, I just warmed it up and then torqued them down right away again. So far about 150 hours since then and no more problems
