Massey Model 12 Baler...???

First does anyone have info on the timing of the knotter assembly? Have manual ordered but have hay on the ground and need to try to get it up before manual will be in. Also what ground speed do you run this baler at? Trying to get a general idea from some they have this baler or one similar to it. What have you found to be the best method to clean the knotter assembly?Thanks for your time Keith

I've never checked the time on a MF baler but all sq balers operate basically the same. Trip bale measuring arm on bale case,turn flyweel in direction that pto turns it(compression stroke) until needle tips just come up even with the channel lips in bottom of balecase. Face of plungerhead should be an 1 inch to 1.5 inches away from needles. That will check needle/knottter timing on a JD or NH.

Blow compressed air on knotters to remove chaff and sandpaper the rust off off billhooks.

run a baler at or just below pto speed.ground should be so you get approx 20 strokes per bale(15 to 25 spb )
