Hello all! I'm new around here and still getting used to the website so bear with me please. I'm currently in the process of preparing to build a full scale replica of the Maytag farm tractor and I have heard some rumors stating the frame and other parts may still exist in Minnesota (possibly the southern part of the state) has anyone seen anything like this floating around? Any leads would be welcome. I have some misc parts lined up ready to go if I have no luck finding anything. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I have never heard of the Maytag tractor. I think I just saw a Craigslist ad this morning for my area and I'm assuming that it was you. Anyway sorry that I can't help. Keep us posted on your progress... Looks to be a very interesting project

Try "smokstak" under antique steel wheels. Those guys could build a tractor from a shadow.

I frequent smokstak and I remember a thread a few years back about a large wheel found in South Dakota and speculation was that it came from the Maytag Giant tractor. I was told that the "giant" was tested in SE SD somewhere. But this is 90% speculation and 10% fact I think.

Thanks for the replies so far! I had made a post asking about this tractor a year or so ago on the stak and have had success mostly getting paperwork and info for the tractor. There has been a lot of help and some info that could help speed up the process when I begin to piece it together.


Yes, the CL ad was mine it's the quickest way I can think of getting the word out without spending a ton of money. Odds are very slim it exists as there was only the one made but hey crazier things have happened!
