McCormick Deering Hayloader

I recently picked up a MD cylinder rake hayloader and am trying to find out the correct colors to paint it. It's the predecessor to the Model R, it has galvanized
floor and sides with the McCormick Deering label on the sides near the top. I'm pretty sure I see some "cream" white on the wheels and the frame was definitely
red. I'm wondering about the teeth on the rake bars. I'm thinking that the rake would itself would be blue and the frame would be red. The "crank" appears to have
been blue and that would line up with my thinking that any of the moving parts would be blue and the frame would be red. I've searched but have been unable to
come up with a color picture or brochure. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

That plate is older than what the description sounds like. You could look at the paint decisions on WHS and probably find something.

Thanks Mike. I agree Jim, I spent quite a bit of time last night going through the paint committee decisions but didn't find anything. I'll continue to look.

All I found in the paint committee decisions was number 32 and number 60, which applied to earlier machines. With nothing else to go by, you may have to judge how the same instructions would apply to the cylinder rake loader. Any "all machines" decisions later than those two decisions could apply to the hay loaders.

By the way, I think the Model R was essentially a variant of your machine and they were mostly built over the same years. Anything you find on the R would probably apply.

Do you have the manual for it? If there are set-up instructions, see if there is anything that hints at shipping bundles. Usually everything in one bundle was the same color.
