McCormick Deering threshing machine weight

I just bought a 22x38 McCormick Deering threshing machine and I got to haul it a long distance and was wondering if anyone could help me
find an approximate weight of it. I just don't want to rent to light of a trailer to haul it. Thank you in advance.

Haul my Case 22-37 on a 18' foot beaver-tail trailer with capacity for 7500#.
Should be plenty of trailer for your McCormick also.

I scrapped a smaller one a couple of years ago and I think it weighed about 2 tons.

They don't weigh a whole lot; they would tip over real easy in a good wind! Dad always had them staked and tied down in case the wind came up.

The McCormick-Deering General Catalog #35 shows the 22x38 Thresher weighing 5390 lbs fully equipped with self-feeder,wind stacker,and Hart Perfection weigher.

According to a book I have, compiled by Alan C. King, the weight of a 22-38 is 6900 pounds. I don't know how accurate his info is. He list a lot of statistics about the 22-38 if you need anything else.

Just watch the bed height of the trailer so you are not over legal height with the grain elevator and grain weigher I have hauled these many times just use a lower bed trailer
