I don't know about anybody else, but why are there so many medicare ad's? I hate to turn the TV on.
Must be something we don't know about.

Tis the "season" to elect or change your choices.

You could always

You should try dealling with Medicare. My two months in the hospital. Brought me a stack of bills they don't want to pay. One was for three days in ICU. Said I didn't need it. Sounds like the VA.

(quoted from post at 20:35:35 11/09/21) They seem to run year round , Part C seems to be the one to buy, get all them freebies, HA HA

Investigate carefully if you are going to do that. If you have it for a year or more you cannot go back to a regular supplemental plan without medical examination, then a company has the right to turn you down.

Medicare part A is free.
Part B is optional and cost about $144.
Buy a supplement and they cover part B.
Part B is taken from your SS.

I think that's the catch. Pay them instead of having it taken from SS.

run away from medicare advantage programs as fast as possible. I had to use them when i was disabled under the age of 65. they make decisions about your healthcare that leave you scratching your head. they take away medicare from you and use that money to pay there premium! over 65 if you choose a medicare advantage program; you can't go back to a supplement!

They're plugging Medicare Advantage plans, which are an alternative to traditional Medicare. Obviously there's a lot of money in it, and of course there's a reason these private plans can make outlandish claims: They intend to provide you with a lower standard of care than you would get with traditional Medicare. In particular, you'll have to stay in their network. Also, they hope to skim off the healthiest of Medicare-eligible patients, and leave those with serious health problems to traditional Medicare.

MONEY, what else. Ads all say 0$ this and 0$ that but never what you'll pay each month. Call the number to ask and they'll say they can't give you that over the phone. Medicare is basically and 80-20 system. It's a good deal to me. Don't let them panic you into thinking you will be bankrupted if you catch a cold.

These are Medicare (Advantage plan signups), like Humana. Problem with them is who will take them in your area. Close friend was a member and I had straight Medicare and my list of treatment facilities and doctors was much more diverse. On the putting money in your SS check they advertise, that's if you don't get sick and spend any money....they apparently give you some back...just picked up that note yesterday.

I'm getting tired of wrinkled up NY Jets QB. Joe Nameth. He ought to stick to foot ball..................he looks like a used car salesman...running the same ad year after year....(obviously my opinion to which I am entitled.)

> I'm getting tired of wrinkled up NY Jets QB. Joe Nameth.

I'll bet Broadway Joe doesn't use the same Medicare Advantage plans that he plugs. But is Joe really still alive? He looks like an animated corpse.

Wife had heart attack 8 yrs ago. Had insurance man tell me do not change from original Medicare as they can refuse her for if you change and try to come back. We both have plan F with supplemental and are sticking with it.
