Just bought a melroe 911 plow that needs shares shins and moldboards. I am reading in various places that they used oliver or other manufacturers bottoms. What do I need to look for to see what kind of replacement parts I need? thanks, Doug

Don"t know about Oliver, but I know they used Star and AC. Believe the AC was 387. Had a couple four bottoms in mid 70s, one 16 inch, one 18 inch. One of them was the Star bottom. I"m thinking they were models 900 and 902. Look on the backside of the moldboard for anything stamped in or painted on. I might even has some sales lit yet.

AC dealer in Paynesville, MN sold a lot of Melroe plows, call Kevin at 320-243-3736. He might have info on them yet.

Saw a really really tall plow sell at Slyton this fall, think it was a Melrow? First one I saw, wow, they were built tall, guess that is high clearance! :) But the bottoms weren't all that far apart, kind of an odd combination.

I bought some boards and shins this summer for a Morris Melroe plow at a local farm supply. They are listed on most ag sites so they should be available yet. Check out shoup manufacturing. google it, they have some dimensions listed that might help also.

I adapted them to fit a Ferguson plow. They aren't an exact fit but they are on the plow.

P.S. look at crescent forge and shovel website, they are out of business but they have lots of info on there.

Hope this helps

Joe
