looking fora die to cut metric broom handle threads I cant even find the dimensions on line they are not acme but more rounded over ? around 7/8 ?

Mr. Fuller, are you the famous Fuller Brush man? Being unable to fit handles to your now globally-sourced brushes and brooms is surely a serious problem!

Doing a web search I found there are several different threads. The common one mentioned is Acme 3/4-5. Another was Acme 7/8 H2. Then there was a fine European thread mentioned. Also found a picture of several different threads used in different countries. I'd check out some websites that have some of that information. It's surprising how much info pops up when you search "what threads do broom handles have".

And yes, I can see that your name is Fullmer, not Fuller!

I find that there are a lot of broom handles, telescoping paint rods , and other things that all use the same thread. A threading die would probably be expensive if for only one time use. 👨‍🌾

What if you ground off the threads enough to get the handle in the broom then remove it, apply a goodly amount of "Gorilla Glue" and stick it back in? I've solved a lot of problems around here over the years with baling wire and duct tape to get me out of a jam. Most things are readily accessible on the www and work, but sometimes what you need isn't out there or you have planting or harvesting to do and don't have time to fiddle with finding a supplier and waiting on the parts.
