My uncle bought a 1085 diesel about two years ago. It never had the power i thought it should have. I think my old 175 I use to own would out pull it. This summer it spun two main bearings. Took the tractor to a repair shop, not a MF dealer. He had a reground crank and bearings, new oil pump and new sleeves and pistons. Really the works. After we got the tractor back it would loose prime in the fuel system and would not start. At times we could use the lift pump to build up pressure or would have to use eather. Many trips back to the shop replacing the lift pump, line to the tank and i think they said the line in the tank. Also had the injector pump rebuilt. There are no leaks. Been over that several times. Even replaced the lift pump the second time. After the rebuild it ran hotter, replaced the heat guage with a number guage and it runs about 220 all the time. Oil pressure 40 lb hot. Had the radiator boiled out at a radiator shop and changed the theromstat. It still don't have the power after the rebuild that it should. Anyone have any ideals whats going on with these problems?
