MF 1105 and Thanks!

Took delivery of a Massey Ferguson 1105 today - year model 1977. It is multipower shows 4700ish hours - which I believe to be original. Paint maybe original (I can't find overspray anywhere) I think the hood decals are replacements? Tractor seems to run good, is straight and field ready. Bought the tractor from Rudolph Brothers in Booneville IN.

I appreciate the replies to my questions regarding this tractor. It will be our discbine tractor and used for bringing loaded kicker wagons off our hills.

Thanks again!

Nice looking tractor. Can't beat a cab in the summer if it has air. Did you ever figure out your rake problem?

Nice looking tractor, and hope for a good hay year. Last year was a mess with all the rain in MD and VA.

1976 models had the center cast hubs painted red and the front rims would have been red in 75. It appears the Flint grey on the back wheels has been repainted at some point. It appears to be the dark grey from your photo.

My opinion is your new to you purchase takes care of two issues:

a) Easily provides a tractor with enough hp for your discbine.
b) Provides a cab to protect the operator from said discbine. A cab would be a must for me if I had to run a pull behind disc mower or discbine.

Nice looking tractor by the way. Remember to keep that multi-power in direct drive on hills as it will freewheel in the low side of multi-power on hills. I bet that perkins 6 cyl diesel will prove to be pretty darned fuel efficient too.

Thanks - the big things we were looking for were hp for the discbine, weight to keep our kicker wagons from pushing us down our hills and bang for the
buck. The MF happened to be the one that came along and we bought it. Spent the winter looking at a lot of IH, JD and MF tractors.
