MF 1105 pto not working!!!!

Does the steering and three point still work OK? If not the PTO front input shaft splines at the flywheel, OR the coupling at the trans-diff case joint may be stripped. Could be one or both ends. No way to tell until it's apart. Usually the front one dies first..

The PTO reduction gears are in the rear cover, if that's where the trouble is it needs to come off. No split needed UNLESS the PTO input shaft has spline damage, it drives the PTO drum AND the hydraulic charge pump. No steering and hydraulics means the charge pump is not supplying the front radial pump.

Ok, new twist it the pro ordeal. I found a lever at the back of the tractor near the top link. I pulled it a now the pto is turning all the time even with the pto shifted off.

If it turns slowly, then speeds up with the dash lever it's probably OK. They will sometimes creep slow with the dash lever off. The rear disconnect lever is seldom used, could be someone turned it off there and forgot to turn it back on. Put a load on it and see if it pulls OK.
