Just wandering if any of you all have any experience with a MF 1135. I found one that is and 1976 with 4400 hrs for $5500 the guy says its in good shape minus some faded paint and needs a new seat. I don't know much about MF tractors I'm a ford guy myself but seems like a a good deal for some cheap HP. Whats your guys opinion? thanks

Having spent many hours in a 1130 and 1155. I can say it is a very good tractor. The later models had 8 bolt hubs on the front and 8 spin out slides on the rear. Earlier models had 6. Price is about right for our area.

If the Hydraulics, brakes, and power steering work well, they are a good tractor. If the front canister hydraulic filter (in the grill in front of the radiator) has much metal powder in the bottom, it will be a headache in the future.Been there.

I have 3 1135s and 1 1105 just clean the strainer on the bottom of trans and change front canister filter yearly and they are a very good tractors price seems good

They were a good machine in the day, If it has been used for a lot of heavy work you will need to tend to the final drives. They can be switched left to right if done in time. I know this because I had one with this problem. The latter ones had a slightly heavier gear set (silver wheels). I would stay away from the V8 model because they had a bigger problem in the final drive, more power on the same gear size.
Good luck
Bruce
