MF 135 air cleaner

The manual says to use a special product to clean the air filter but I don't believe it is available any more. Ideas?

Is this a replaceable cartridge or oil bath/steel mesh? (don't have a 135 MF) If later use diesel fuel.

YT has a vid showing oil bath type.

My operator's manual only references using air or lukewarm water with a non-foaming detergent. I'm pretty cheap, but still regularly replace these paper filters instead of cleaning if they get to looking bad and knocking it on something doesn't have enough stuff fall off for my satisfaction.

By air filter I take it you mean a replaceable dry element. No more often than they have to be changed, buy a new one and put it in. Don't mess with cleaning it.

I did replace the paper element filter but the original paper label mentioned to use D1400 element cleaner I was going to keep this as a spare so I just used a detergent and water.

Only the outer air filter can be washed, the smaller inner filter-no. They are priced so low I simply replace the filter when it's dirty enough removal and blowing it out from the inside with an air gun doesn't work any more.
