mf 135 air cleaner

i have an early 135 with vertical air cleaner. will a horizontal one fit in its place with no major fitting?

Why replace a more efficient air cleaner, with one less "bullet-proof".
The oil bath type cleaner is proven to be a more effective air filtering device than a "paper" type unit, if serviced regularly.

The reason I replaced mine was because the original was rusted beyond repair when I got the tractor. I do agree with you that the oil bath filter is a better one but I couldn't readily find one.
