MF 135 diesel alternator

Can any one direct me to a charging system wiring diagram for this tractor. My battery is not charging at all, The tractor has a three wire Delco installed.

Don't have diagram.

On a 3 wire Delco, the large output wire on back goes to ammeter. Switch supplies connect here.

On the 2 wire plug, #2 loops down to alterntor output or any point from there to battery connection at start solenoid. #1 goes to switched 12 volt source. On a gasser this line requires isolation such as resistor, diode, or lamp to prevent power to ignition when switch is turned off. Probably not needed on a diesel but does give some surge protetion to alternato

With battery connected and switch off you should have constant battery voltage at alternator output and #2 and 0 volts at #1 With switch on you should have voltage at #1

When engine starts you should have charging voltage at all 3.

Thank you sir, that is very helpful. Now all I have to do is remember to take my multimeter the next time I go to the farm (which at me age isn't a sure thing. :-(
