MF 135 Gas Linkage Help

Hi
This is off a 1964 MF 135 with Continental engine.
The top portion that goes to the left is threaded.
The threaded portion is too short that it doesn"t
extend through the hole it mounts to enough to put a nut on, so it occasionally comes discounted.
It was like this when I purchased the tractor.
Is it missing something or any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks

If you mean the ball joint at the top is too short, Maybe it has been shortened at some time? A new one is still available from Agco for less than $5.00.
Maybe it will be longer?

I lengthened a similar rod/bolt by cutting it in half, adding in the middle a short section out of a 3/8" Grade 8 bolt I"d cut up, laying it all in an angle-iron, so it was all aligned, and welding it up. Worked for my application.
