MF 135 Lift problem, again.

Hi guys, it's been a long while since I posted. Looks like my 135 has lift problems again. This time it will lift all the way up, but slowly on a cold startup. After about 10-15 minutes of running, the lift is so slow or doesn't move at all.

I removed both left and right side covers today and ran the motor and shot some video of the goings on inside the hydraulic case. Would y'all mind taking a look and seeing if everything looks normal while running? I know the fluid has lots of water in it and I haven't checked the filter yet. I've also bypassed the top master spring with a chain hooked from the frame to the implement, that didn't help, it's still slow or no.

Anyways, help is appreciated. I've read a lot of forum posts on this and haven't come up with anything I can point to yet.

Here's the 2 videos on Youtube:

Hello Jeff,
Looking at your second video it would
appear that the internal linkage is
working ok with the pump lever being
placed in the pumping position when the
position control lever is raised. It is
essential that the oil is changed. You
can flush the system out with around 3
gals of diesel and run the tractor
briefly. Have you checked to see if
there is a 'layer' of water under the
oil? Having watery oil will not do the
system any good. The filter should be
the next step. Access it from the LH
side cover. You will probably find a
locking wire securing it. Take care as
there are plenty of sharp edges inside.
Part fill with fresh oil and test
without the filter fitted. If operating
ok clean or renew the filter and replace
the oil. Let us know how you get on.

David, thank you for your reply. I shall do as you suggest next weekend and report back my findings. Have a great week.

Last weekend I did as David suggested and flushed the tractor with diesel. I pulled the filter and found it to be badly clogged

I cleaned the filter and refilled with fresh UTF to just below the inspection covers and ran the tractor, working the lift up and down. It looks to have fixed the problem. The lift moves up and down at a constant speed without cavitating.

Thanks David!
