Hello

I have a MF 135 with hydraulic problems

I have unhooked the implement and it appears to go fully up.

Does the hitch leak down... yes but very slowly.

Is it jerky... yes jerky on up, smooth when on down.

What next steps do you suggest ???

Thanks for your help

I had the same problem on my ford 8n, if you can adjust the quadrant so the lift lever can get further travel up that might cure it..it did for my 8n

Hi,
Under NO circumstances adjust the max lift lever stop. It is set to that position (if unchanged to ensure that the linkage does not lock up at full lift.
The symptoms that you describe fit excess play in the top link attachment rocker and/or looseness of the control spring. If its jerky going up then the amount that the control valve has moved into the pumping position is fluctuating.
There are plenty of posts on here about how to remove and overhaul the control spring linkage and refit it correctly.
Attach your implement using a chain and suitable pin to at least two of the lugs below the top link attachment point. If the linkage works normally then it points to the control spring.
