mf 135d input shaft seal replacement

i have a mf 135 diesel tractor with 6 speed dual clutch and losing hydraulic oil out bell
housing weep hole. ben letting it go for a while and just parking up hill, but pto clutch
has starting to slip when bushhoging in thick grass. not noticed main clutch slipping yet
but figure just a matter of time. my question is do i have to split at bell housing and
transmission or can shaft seals be renewed by only removing shaft retainer on clutch end or
will shaft need to come out through tranny side? book calls for special tool to remove
seals. any advise would be appriciated. by the way no multi power

For what it is worth: They do make oil seals that are split so they can be opened up to fit around a shaft so the machinery don't have to be disassembled. Don't know what sizes are available or prices, I worked in a paper mill for 30 years and we used them on certain machines that required major disassembly to replace the oil seal. Might be worth inquiring into. Seems they were made by Garlock but not positive.
