MF 162 Front Wheel ( studs )

What is the best/correct way to fix a stripped thread on a front wheel. The easiest way would be to drill it out or use a longer stud with a nut on the inside, but I don't know if such studs exist and there are other disadvantages.
I have just bought 2 second hand wheels 7.5 x 18 with good tyres and the right colour for my MF165 212 ( thought 90 euro the pair was quite reasonable ) The 6 x 19 rims are origional so I'll hang on to them, but the tyres are getting old and I thought the new ones, which are slightly wider would be better with front loader. I don't know if the new ones are MF or a "general" rim, but they look ok, very similar to the ones on Davids 165.
Does anyone know what the correct torque for the front wheels is. The rears can take a lot, but the fronts seem a bit more delicate.

Hi,
The neatest way is to hele-coil the stripped thread. That way, there's no ugly and bodgy looking nut left inside the hub. I'd have to check on the tension, and get back to you,

Tension is 70 to 88 lbs/ft.

Hi Mike/Evan,
Its difficult to tell if the rims are genuine MF but my guess is that they would be. As to the cost I reckon I would have to pay about 120 euros for a new tyre, tube and rim. The one looks to be in good condition. I don't think you have a bargain but certainly a good buy.
Evan has given the torque figure but be careful not to overtighten the bolts or nuts, particularly the bolts. It is easy to deform the metal of the rim and this may have caused the failure to start.

Thanks for the info. It's amazing that you can get almost instant help from the other side of the channel or the other side of the world with very little effort.
I had tightened them to 60 and thought they could take a little bit more. I assume that you have to be a bit more gentle as they get older so I'll tighten them to the lower value and keep an eye on things.
