Hi,
I have a MF 165 with a front end loader which works fine. The 3-pt. hitch works fine in both position and seemingly draft mode. The problem is with the auxiliary/remote system that is controled by a lever bolted to the right fender. The fluid appears to be delivered to this lever form as small casting on the upper right side of the tranmission housing and has a selector lever. There is a return line the goes to the upper left side of the transmissioin housing. From the control lever there are the usual two hoses which terminate in the standard quick disconnect fitting and to which the implement hoses attach.
I attatched the two hoses of a round baler, which control the baler lift gate, but when the lever is moved the hoses obviousy pressurize, the liftgate starts to open and then everything freezes. I tried attaching to another cylinder with the same result.
This is the first time i tried this so I don't know if it ever worked. I do know that when the position control lever was moved to the constant pumping position that the contol lever on the would leak out of the bottom fitting that was plugged. To stop that leak prior to attaching my baler I removed the plug and retaped with teflon tape which solved the leak. Perhaps this plug is important or I inadvertantly lost something?
Thanks for your help.
