MF 165 top link

Would like to know the length of the top link center to center category 1, on a MF 165 row crop. Thanks in advance. Lee
 
Wouldn't that be determined by the equipment you intend to use off the 3 point? Most of them nowadays are adjustable - by quite a lot. If you run a plumb line up from your arm balls, when the lower arms are parallel to the ground you should be able to measure from that line to your top link attachment point for a really close dimension. Are your lower lift arms cat 1 or 2? If cat 2 you need a cat 2 top link, not a cat 1 top link. as they are different lengths. I had Fords the same size as your MF. and needed the cat 2 link. Now a few smaller tractors needed a special top link but yours is not one of them. And those top links are almost impossible to find. If your lift arms are cat 1 you need a cat 1 top link, if they are a cat 2 you need a cat 2 top link as they do not interchange.

I had a 65 high arch and a 165 high arch years ago. Now I have a 65 standard and a 165 standard. I don't remember the exact length range of the top link, but I do know the high arch tractors need a longer one than the standard tractors. Those tractors were set up with category 1 linkage originally. You probably want the longest cat. 1 top link that Tractor Supply offers.
