mf 175 hydraulic leak

I have a MF 175 with a loader. Unlike others I have seen there is no separate pump, the loader runs off the tractor hydraulics.

The hoses running the loader come out of the plate that has the PTO shift lever. There are two fittings tapped into the cover, and one of them seems to be leaking. Not a great amount, but over the course of three or four hours it will loose a quart or two of fluid.

Has anyone run into this problem, or have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Tim

Sounds like your loader is running off the small internal auxiliary pump. The pipes for this are through the pto plate and are like a bulkhead fitting, in other words they have a locknut on the inside with a pipe connection. If you go to tighten them from outside the pipe can wring so, unfortunately the top cover has to come off. Maybe you could get it from the other side plate, but it will not be easy. This pump is not very strong for running a loader,I would recommend doing a combined pump conversion.
