This tractor has been sitting for more the 6 years. I now have everthing working except the hydraulics. The 3 point system will not move at all. The external hydraulicis are working great. It does not matter were the controls are positioned. I have change all fluids, cleaned the hydraulic filter (was very clean)and replaced the clutch system. Any ideas on were to start is needed. I am lost!
Thanks

Just tried that with no luck. The controls slip back to the neutral position when you release them. I held it back and tried to raise the the lift but no luck.
Thanks

Hello,
After 6 years its quite likely that the control valve will have stuck in the pump, maybe through just gummed up but more likely through rust. This will not affect the aux hydraulics.
Drain the oil to the level of the bottom bolt on the RH side cover and remove it. Removal of the handbrake rod (if fitted) and footplate will greatly assist this. The attached photo shows the position of the pump lever (coming up from below) to be in the lifting position. In your tractor the pump lever is likely to be held forward by the vertical lever (coming down from above). This is in the discharge (lowering) position. If this is correct, place the quadrant levers in the lift position so that the vertical lever is hanging loose. Don't put excess pressure on the top of the pump lever as you may disconnect it at its pivot point. Reach down into the oil and see if you can push the lever forward at its lowest point. If you can then working it back and forth may be enough to free it. If not it will mean remaoval of the top cover, aux and ferguson pumps in order to free or replace it.

Thank You it was stuck but released easly. First time I have a MF and its hydraulics work so differtent. The 3pt lift will now work if both the draft and position controls are both fully up and then its controlled by the left external controll. Very different.
At least I have some control now
Thank You Again!

David helped me with a similar problem; he was spot on about not putting too much pressure on the control lever, learned that the hard way!
