MF 180 Help Please

I think the aux hyd pump is not working on my 180, a 1970 model. The lift works, but the loader is not working. The fluid level is full. I replaced the multipower filter up front last year, and she worked fine until the other day when I fired 'er up and the loader didn't respond at all.

Are there any other things I should check before dragging it in the shop and splitting it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Try checking the oil pressure at the filter and at the pipe coming out of the PTO engagement plate before splitting the tractor.If the pump has sheared the splines there will be no flow at all. Sometimes in older tractors there could be a priority valve stuck, later tractors had a double pump,Is your multi-power working?
When using a loader you really should have combined hydraulics so the piston pump can take the strain also the loader would still work albeit a little slower even if the aux. pump had failed.

Thanks, Sam. I'll check at the filter. I pulled the hydraulic line going to the control valve for the loader, and all that's coming out is a little bit of air. And no, the multipower is not working, I checked that today after I got the loader removed.
