MF 200 bulldozer

I'm working on a MF 200 dozer. We've changed most of the filters and done a lot of basic "freeing up" of seized up parts and levers. we adjusted everything by the book, put on a new hyd pump . The dozer starts up good and the 6-way blade works as it should.
I need to find the inner filter (trans) so we can change that one also. The problem is that it only goes in reverse . In forward it seems like it wants to but doesn't. there's 2 valves that I think I need to replace (hi pressure and a low pressure valve)
Also,,,can I replace the tracks with another set of tracks (from a different manufacturer) as long as the measurements match up ?
So...I need some advice and possibly a source for the parts.
Thanks in advance

"I need to find the inner filter (trans) so we can change that one also." Does this mean you haven't located the filter inside the transmission, or you know where it is, and are looking for a replacement element? Is this an actual element or is it a suction screen that can be cleaned? Many internal ones are suction screens. You don't say if your 200 is a plain 200 or one of the later series ones. There are some parts books online at Minnpar's website. Looking at a plain 200 with a hydraulic reverser it looks like the internal filter may be on the lower left side of the reverser housing. There should be a steel line connected to the filter's cover plate.

You posted you adjusted everything by the book. Does your book give info for pressure checks of the transmission for diagnosing issues? If so, have you run all the pressure checks? Given you say reverse is ok, it could be seals in the forward clutch as well as a valve. Has the linkage worn enough that it may not be fully moving the valve into forward?

Unless someone comes along who has swapped tracks to another brand: A call or email to a dealer that sells track parts (like Tracksnteeth) may get you an answer. You will want to check on sprockets, rolls and idlers as well. Beyond that it becomes a matter of finding chain listings of the pitch, width, bushing diameters, rail heights, pad bolt holes and layout, etc. for each chain and comparing all those dimensions to yours to find a match.

If searching for parts search Machine model# & or Part# online. A few parts sources are; Denver Machine 303-341-2020, C-J Tractor in Michigan 810-392-2161 office, They also work at home-586-725-9762. Nolts in PA 717 776 6242. Sounds like a sticky spring loaded valve causing, it to only work in 1 direction?

Thanks for the input. Sunday my mechanic comes over and we'll tear into it to get more info. Yes it's a plain 200. He's bringing some pressure gauges from his fulltime mechanics job.

I have a Massey Ferguson crawler 200 dozer having trouble with the steering clutch brakes adjustment dont know how to adjust them the right way . anybody got any advice on how to adjust them .the book is confusing

I had gotten a suggestion for my MF200 that only goes in reverse and not forward...to make sure the inner filter isn't clogged. No one mentioned that the reverser has to be out of the machine to do it! Anyway after the pressure testing was ok...we now have the engine out and will pull the reverser on Sunday when my friend/mechanic comes over.
Any suggestions for when it's out and on the bench?
And what do we check once it's out?
And if it needs new parts...where would we get them (clutch discs, seals, bearings, etc) ?Thanks

The hydraulic reverser is now out. I called a place to ask about the clutch pack and was told there was a different machine with the same clutch pack. He told me he'd try and find out what it was and never did. Does anybody know what machines had the same clutch parts as my MF200 dozer? Thanks
