MF 200 loader, bucket goes down by itself.

Greetings, My bucket wants to tip forword, without any help from me !?

Think it is those 2 short cylinders in fromt.?
Is it a big expense to have them rebuilt.
Do they have a "kit?" Is it something I can do ?
or do you need someone that knows what they are doing ?
tks,
Ron

Hello Ron,
Yes, its more than likely the bucket cylinder/s.
If the main seal in one has failed and it is allowing oil to pass then the bucket will tip.
On re-sealing it would be advisable to do the two. Alternatively lower the bucket to the ground and vent any pressure in the system. Remove the pipes from one of the cylinders and plug them using the correct fittings. Raise the bucket a couple of inches off the ground and observe whether the bucket tips. If yes, thon the seals need replacing. Do the same to the other side and you'll see if one or both need to be done. Collect oil being lost from the disconnected cylinder.
I don't know which type of cylinder is fitted but if you can post a photo of where the rod enters the cylinder we should be able to talk you through the job.
