Check the power steering good, have an older model and it is on it's last adjustment,I will be replacing it when it get's harder to steer! It is a 78 or 79 my Dad bought new, other than the power steering it has been a good one! What ever you do don't use starting fluid when trying to start it for whatever reason,Perkin's engine's dont like starting fluid!Mine has alway's started good,in the winter just use the block heater, start's like it's summer time! Also check out the three point lift make sure it will lift a load good without any noises! All I can think of right now, maybe someone else will chime in with other thing's on these model tractor's!

I have a 230 gas and I like it. Mechanically, my only complaint/concern is the rattling in the belly. It goes away when the clutch is depressed competely so it's likely associated with the PTO clutch or something. Other than that, nice tractor. No trouble with my steering.
