MF 255 steering problem

My son inherited his father-in-laws 255. When driving it straight ahead, we have to continually turn steering wheel to left a little to keep tractor in a straight ahead position. Someone replaced on of the hoses going to the hydralic steering cylinder at front with one smaller diameter hose than the other. Could this be causing wanting to drift to right, or is there a problem in the steering motor?

Also, check to see that the fluid level is full and use the recommended oil (not power steering fluid) I don't recall the number offhand, but it is the same as the transmission oil for the tractor.

Thanks for the replies. Bob M., I will have to get my daughter to help with putting a pic on forum, Thanks
