MF 32 gasoline engine filter oil type

Hi,
Reaching out to the group to find out what engine oil filter and oil type is used for: Massey Ferguson MF32 with Perkins gasoline 4cyl engine.

A Massey Ferguson 32 is a combine and uses a turbocharged diesel. Based on your other post you have a loader on a tractor, you need to ID your tractor. The loader is a model 32. The tractor has its own model number. That model number is needed to correctly help you on a filter, or other parts, for the tractor. A guess is the filter is MF # 835995M93 (WIX 51183, NAPA 1183) if it is an element in a housing. If it is a spin-on it might be MF # 1447048M1 (WIX 51806, NAPA 1806). Those filters were used in the model 165, 175, and 30 tractors with the 4 cylinder Perkins gas, which have mounting kits for a 32 loader. The engine could be on others.

Be aware, you will get various opinions on your oil question. 15W/40 diesel oil is one type commonly used.
