MF 35 Alternator conversion

I am going to convert a MF 35 Gas over to a Delco alternator.I have found several kits with the tach drive on the back of the alternator. Has any one used one of these ? Its looks like the original tach cable will be to short. Does any one have any suggestions.

Is your existing generator not functioning? I am not so sure changing to alternator is worth the money and effort. I have a ford 960 converted to alternator and a 1955 ferguson to35 with generator and they are both reliable.

Do some measuring before you buy a tach cable, tach cable Part Number 1699381M92 is 27" long. Part Number 506331M91 is 39" long.

Thank you for the information . I checked with All states ag parts and Steiner. They don't have a kit for the MF 35. Does any one know of one.
