Massey Ferguson TO 35 gas. Owner has complained govenor quit working. Throttle tends to run off higher on its own occasionally.
I've done numerous likage adjustments, following the book and tweaked the set screw in the timing cover back and forth 1/2 turn at a time.
Haven't got the govenor to kick in at any time.
Lock the brakes, in high range 3rd low idle, slowly let out clutch.
So
At what point do I need to replace govenor with new internal components?
I don't like to throw parts at something hoping it will help.
But I think that's about where its at.
Is there anything else I should look at first? Or just rebuild govenor and be done with it..?...
Thanks
