I have a 1995 MF 383 w/ Perkins diesel. It is losing fuel prime when sitting more than three or four days. I have changed the fuel pump assuming slight hole or tear in diaphragm but did not fix the problem. Cranks and runs fine if using every day or so. Any thoughts?

may not make sense but fill the fuel full when not in use ,look for any very small fuel leaks after it has set a couple days,because if the leak is above the fuel level in the tank when not full it could leak a small amount of fuel some where in the system and let air get in it's place then when you try to start it,it gets into the injector pump,also check the banjo bolt fitting on top of the fuel filter that hooks to the return it has a small bleed hole in the side of the bolt that can get stopped up,may not solve your problem but worth a try.
