MF 40 Diesel starting problem

Having trouble getting this tractor started. It had set for ten years waiting to have new injectors put in it. Got the new injectors in but can't get it started. Valves are free. I'm not sure I have all the air bled off. It's tough to see the fuel come out at the injectors. Manuel fuel pump lever is broken off so I'm turning the engine over to bleed the injectors. Do you need to tighten the nut up before you stop turning the engine over so it does't suck air?

yes tighten the nut . also leave the injection lines almost off of the injectors and spin the engine over until you get a good stream of fuel out of the injector end of the line . after you get that stream then tighten them down on each injector. crank it over you should start seeing smoke and starting . if the fuel dosnt flow you may have a injection pump problem . good luck .
