MF 41 Mower Guards

My mower needs new guards or at least new ledger plates. It has the heavy 679 836 M1 guard that it came from the factory with. These are hard to find and plenty high priced if you do. Anything that will fit on bar that are an easy to find and buy replacement for these?

not knowing who you checked , I would suggest Herschel, Webb cutting components for a start.
I replace the ledger plates on my new ideas rock guards . Work very well .
I would suggest to stay with the better quali suppliers because its alot of work to doing the replacement , and do over again in heavy hay season not good . Just what I think, I’m too old to be getting on and off the tractor to unplug jamups

Instead of replacing ledger plates, you could buy replacement double guards and save some labor.

Had some good luck. Farm supply store had a box of new guards on 50 percent off clearance. 679 836M1 at 6.50 each. I ask about buying the box full and they said 4 bucks each. MF guards are not a hot item nowdays but happy to get enough to do the entire bar minus 1.
