MF 4253 tachometer

Hello again all. Have a rather interesting issue with the tachometer in that its minimum rpms are about 500 and maxes out at right under 1000. Listening to the engine it definitely is revving past 1000, I think its operating properly. There is an adjustment on the back of the console but it only changes about +- 75 RPM. I know that the pickup is inside the auxiliary hydraulic pump housing and I checked the connection there and it looks good. The loader on the tractor moves pretty slow and is weak and gets worse as it warms up or if its hot outside. I wonder if these problems are related?

Sounds like seperate problems to me. To solve the hydraulic issue I would start with changing filters. The Tach ?? I know they are electronic, so start with sending unit. I read once what kind of computer
software was used on the 42 series but do not know now. Just start digging to find the problem. How many hours on the machine?

it has 1313 hours on it. But since that number is tied to the tacho dont think its correct either. I have ordered replacement hydrology filters and will switch them out when they arrive
