Hey Forum,

Just wondering if anyone had any success making or reusing a cab from a different tractor company for a MF-65 or 165? Before anyone says how open stations are better, I agree, but my 65 is being used for a lot of spraying activities and, chemicals suck. I've seen a few used square cabs from different tractor, or old farmall ones, not sure if its something I could fabricate to my tractor..

Regards!

IT would be much easier and probably more practical to just ad a tractor with a cab and everybody needs an extra tractor. Dad and I were talking I should probably polish up my 856and 806 sell them for the big money and buy a lot newer tractor with the proceeds. Then I said but I would have to use a 130-200 HP tractor for a lot of 80-100 HP jobs and still have a lot more hitching and hitching takes a lot of time if you think about it. Besides with both of them I can hook to the drill or fertilizer spreader with each and go no more hitching till the jobs are done. I like having lots of options for tractors.

I agree, but I bought this MF65 for hilling and spraying potatoes, thats its main job, I agree on other tractors too for digging and plowing.. just need this one for spraying since its high clearance and narrower tires than a big tractor.

Honestly a pair of Tyvek coveralls and a respirator will be more effective and less expensive. The cabs you're likely to be using in this application are hardly airtight and have crude air filtration systems if any at all. Arguably they will be worse than nothing at all, as a cloud of chemical can get caught inside the cab and lack of an effective air circulation system will hold it there and increase your exposure.
