MF 65 distributor

Hello, I would like to install a petronix ignitor electronic kit on our 65, but I need to know the dist. number but I can't find a number on the distributor. The 65 is a 1964 model year, not sure if different dist. were used for different years.
The Petronix catalog lists just one part no. for the kit, 1145A, but on the parts section of this site listed different part numbers for different distributors on G176 engines.

We have 4 tractors with Z-134 & Z145 engine
on 2 distributor cap is installed with screws
on 2 distributor cap is installed with clips

I never known why some are with screws and some with clips. Somebody here may have the answer.

The 65 will have the early style Delco Remy distributor with clips to hold the cap on. The MF 165 will have the aluminum distributor with screws and will be a different kit. Thats the reason G176's have different kit numbers.
