Mf 65 hydraulic problem

My 1959 mf65 I just bought and I'm going through to get working has a problem with the hydraulics. The 3 point will not raise.. well actually it will, but so slowly that its barely noticeable. The PTO seal was leaking and no oil in the rear end. I replaced the seal and filled with oil, and now I'm here with this problem. I removed the PTO side cover to check the filter, and there is no filter on this pump. The control levers are actuating the control valve on the pump. The lift cylinder has a small stream of oil leaking out of it when trying to raise. I removed the transfer plate and get some oil coming up the standpipe, but almost no pressure and very little flow. My question is, how much pressure and flow should I have up the standpipe?

You SHOULD have full pressure and flow at the standpipe. On each side of the lift cover are 3/8 inch pipe thread ports for the pressure gauge, max relief valve pressure check is with the DRAFT lever FULLY UP. Does the tractor have a SPOOL VALVE on top of the lift cover? If so the LEFT lever needs LOCKED BACK for three point use.

I assumed there should be full pressure there but it barely runs out. It doesn't have any valve, just the plate on top. I plan to bring my hydraulic gauge from work tomorrow evening just to verify. I guess I'll be looking into replacing or rebuilding the pump, and probably the cylinder as well

The cylinder leak you have is NOEMAL, that tractor uses piston rings with gaps, NOT a positive seal O ring on the piston like other tractors have.

Good to know. On the pump. All I'm finding is I guess the newer style pump with the filter. Is that interchangeable? And is there any real benefit to replacing vs rebuilding?

As per Dieseltechs instruction..... as to the HYD PSI port check........

I own the little sister to the MF 65........1963 MF 35......Three point Hydraulic psi check......on my 1963 MF 35 2100 psi....
On the Neighbors 1961 MF 35......2000 psi on Hydraulic check.....
FYI
