MF 85 lift pump

Does any one have any suggestions for a source to rebuild the lift pump? New aftermarkets don't seem to be available.

I assume you mean the fuel lift pump? The only reason I aske is because a month or so ago someone posted on here looking for lift pump parts - they got all sorts of suggestions before saying they actually meant the hydraulic pump - used to 'lift' the three point hitch.

Assuming you mean the fuel lift pump: I think the 85 and 88 use one of those wacky, cylindrical, solenoid plunger pumps, don't they? The Massey books show the parts for the gaskets, plunger cups, etc. Have you tried asking a Massey dealer for those parts individually? If they don't have them,
your best option is probably 'Then and Now Automotive', in Weymouth, MA. They're the fuel pump rebuilding experts. They show a lot of kits online, but they have way more than what they show in-stock. They can often cross-reference and put a kit together out of separate pieces. It might be
tough with that one as it's a little unique, but if anyone can do it, they can. You might have to send them some pictures/dimensions.

If you're not worried about keeping it original, an aftermarket internally-regulated 12V fuel pump available anywhere would almost certainly do just fine.
