Can anyone tell me roughly how many and what parts are interchangeable between a MF #10 and MF #12 baler? I've been using a #12 for some years-- great baler-- but have run into trouble with it recently-- I've found a couple of #10's-- How similar are the machines?

I have a model 10, 12 and 8 and from what I have noticed basically all the parts are interchangeable except for some shields and covers that are styled different. I had read once before the main difference is the size of the pickup and it"s ability to handle larger windrows. One note some of the model 10"s have some aluminum parts in the knotter assemblies that wear out faster in high dirt/dust common with baling. My model 8 and 12 both have cast iron parts instead. My plan is to use the knotter from the 8 and fix up my model 10 with the nicer hitch from a model 12. Basically everything can interchange.
