MF Stoneleigh Grey paint

TE20-PLUS

New User
Hello.

I have tried to find Stoneleigh Grey paint here in the US, but have not had any luck. Does anyone know if it can be found here, or is it only over the pond in Europe ?

For some reason, the grey Ferguson and Massey Ferguson paints I find here in the US does not have a name. It says Massey Ferguson grey, or gray, and that it pretty much it.

Hi Bill, Stonleigh grey was introduced when the firms of Massey Harris and Ferguson amalgamated around 1959 bringing to an end the grey and gold of the Ferguson 23C 4 cylinder 35. In 1959 the first 3-cylinder 35s were made. Prior to that Ferguson or Light Grey was used on the TE range. Can’t help you with any suppliers in the States for Stonleigh but can give you the name of an excellent supplier in the U.K. Agriline in Worcester would be able to send it to you. Do you have any paint suppliers near you that would be able to mix it for you from colour charts?

Hello David, long time no see. Sending paint from the UK to California is not such an easy task. Oh this is such a silly thing. I love Myford lathes, and currently putting one together for myself here, and I had paint, RAL 7012, and could not find it, and then I could not find the spray gun either. Oh yes, have a good laugh now. So, I started looking for Stoneleigh Grey to paint the lathe in that color, I have seen Myford Lathes painted that color and they look great. I thought I could go somewhere locally to find can or two of spray paint.

And that is when I discovered that the grey paints for Massey Ferguson here has no number or name so no matter what it is you have to buy a can, spray a little and see how it looks. That is beyond silly.

I hope you are well, been a long time since I was here, and then I could not remember my password, so I had to make a new account. People in here will remember me as Bill Brox, which is my name. From Norway, but moved to California of all places on the planet. It has already started burning here.... huff huff... I hate the wildfires.
Now, as I am sitting writing here, I am pretty sure what my old password was, so I will try it, and see if I can reappear as myself again.

Hi Bob, I have no idea, it shows grey on the label, but not what kind of grey it is. As both you and me knows, there is a lot of greys in the Massey Ferguson system, even more if you count in Ferguson without the Massey. So, I have no idea what kind of smart alec has come up with the idea of just calling them Massey Ferguson grey, and one label is kind of darker grey, one a little lighter, depending who has it. A little square on the screen is not much to go after.

Try looking at the paint colour charts for Hyundai sedan cars . There is one shade available here that is a very close match .

Hi Bill, all well here coming out of the lockdown slowly although some day the cases and deaths remain worryingly high.
I can't find a RAL number for Stonleigh Grey but Sparex supply it in the UK and presumably could be ordered on S82113 for a 1ltr tin or S92113 for an
aerosol.

Cheers

Thank you. I tried with the NAPA color, 50523 is not found in the NAPA system here on my computer. But, I found this, under Massey Ferguson Gray.

And this is exactly the problem, some years ago when I looked they had different ones, but now, one Massey Ferguson Grey / gray, and no indication of which one they have chosen to still carry.

That has to be the new MF gray, it's a ugly looking.

On another note Sherwin-Williams is the parent company of Martin Senour paint which is the brand NAPA sells.
