Anyone had any experience with a 1230 compact?
A local dealer has a used one for $6995. It has hydro, MFWD, and 270 hrs. Is this a decent price assuming good condition? What are the weaknesses/problem areas with this machine? Thanks for any help.

Hi,
It looks to be from the same generation as the compact 1250 in the UK. The only problems that we have had is with the 4WD front axle after 1500-plus hours. One example chewed the swivel hub crown wheel up. Quite a costly job. Otherwise a good sound tractor if used within its capabilities.
