MF200 Loader Hydraulic Question

The bucket does not hold it's curl for very long. I was advised to have the cylinders repacked, which I did. That helped but I still think it could be better. That leaves the control valve and one other component called by two different names and it's located between both lift arm assemblies. AGCO calls it a "Relief (Crossover) Valve Assembly" and the loader manual calls it a "Rod End Relief Valve". Could this relief valve be the reason for the curl problem or is the control valve the likely culprit?

With the cylinders repaired, it might be either of those valves. I would suspect the bucket spool in the control valve is not centering or has wear allowing leakage. If you carefully position the lever in the center can you get the curl to hold? If so that could be a weak centering spring or adjustment. If it is wear between the spool and valve body bore I expect you will need another valve as those are most often precision fits with no seals in the working areas. Does the lift stay up? If so try switching the bucket and lift hoses on the valve. Then if the lift drifts down and the curl doesn't That would indicate the control valve is the problem. If the loader stays up and the bucket curl still doesn't hold it would indicate the rod end relief valve maybe the problem. You should be able to disassemble the rod end relief valve to see if there is any foreign material in it. HTH
