MF202 Power steering not working when hot.

OK, let's get the obvious question over with. Is the pump reservoir full? Are there any visible leaks?

Yes the reservoir is full. I had to replace one
of the slave cylinders because it was leaking
badly when I got the tractor. I don't see any
more leaks now. I'm leaning towards the pump
may be weak or wrong type of fluid. It calls
for Type A which you can't get anymore.

I use ProLine Automatic Transmission Fluid. It's for vehicles that require Dexron III & Mercon Brands. Been using this for many years.

What does the fluid look like? Is it Red (ATF)? Does it smell burnt? What does the filter look like? Does the pump make noise? You could put a pressure gauge in the pressure line, it should be 800PSI. Flushing and replacing the fluid may help. Likely the pump is tired. I use ISO 32 hydraulic oil in mine.
