MF235 oil pump

Has anyone replaced the oil pump on a 235 or have an idea how challenging it is?

Next question, why do you think it needs an oil pump? How is oil pressure, both cold and hot?

With a manual gauge it’s 10-12 and goes to almost nothing

That could also be a lost oil gallery plug or SEVERE main/rod bearing wear. Oil pump and bearings can be seen after the oil pan is off, but get a service manual as some Perkins have some hidden oil pan bolts/studs.

I planned to check the bearings while in there. Just wasn’t sure how much of the front had to come off to access the gear drive part of the pump. Is this one that you have to loosen the engine to transmission bolts to make a little room to slide the pan out ?

You can take it off without pulling anything but the pan just grind down a 13/16 wrench to get
Main cap off can look at that bearing first
