MF40 backhoe attachment

I found a possible for for my MF40 Industrial. Seller will take $1750 and says it has a little slack drone side to side and that the bracket that holds one of the arms up broke and needs to be welded back on. First, can anyone confirm that this attachment will bolt on without modifications? What does side to side slack mean mechanically and is $1750 a good price?

Looks the same as what is on my MF40, which is a #212 hoe. As far as slack, I would think slack in swing function. Sure can't buy much of a 3 point hoe for that money, and this will sure out work most of those.

(quoted from post at 19:25:20 11/21/19) What tractor is the backhoe on now????

The backhoe is currently on a MF40. I want to make sure My tractor will currently receive the backhoe. Here are some pictures of mine. If you can take a look at my hydraulic setup on mine and let me know what I need to do to hook up hydraulics to the backhoe that would be much appreciated.

the backhoe you want to buy is off of an industrial mf 40. your tractor is a farm tractor. don't know if its beefed up enough to install it. sure it can be done but I would think you would have to remove all the three point parts. you would be better to find a 3pt backhoe which wouldn't be as heavy. I have a mf30 that the loader and backhoe is driven by a front mounted pump. tractor hyd itself has nothing to do with them.

My tractor is a MF40 Industrial also. It was just painted before I purchased it. Here are more pics of my tractor. The MF40 the backhoe is coming off has a 3 point also. Here is a pic of the tractor the backhoe is currently on showing a 3 point.

I don't know about your hydraulic hook ups, but the AGCO parts diagram shows what's needed to hook up a 212 to a MF40.

Also look at the other diagrams in the parts book. It looks like there are different setups depending on your tractor and loader.

Now I am second guessing the model of my tractor. I have all the manuals for MF40 Industrial and have followed several service repairs based on a MF40. Can anyone confirm what model tractor I have and if it has enough power to operate a 212 backhoe?

If your tractor has a solid non-adjustable front axle and heavy 1/2" steel radiator shell at the front where the loader mounts, it'll be an industrial. You'll need to remove the plug from the power beyond
outlet in the loader control to supply the backhoe and T the return line into the tank in the right-side loader frame (near RR wheel). The backhoe is big and heavy and wasn't designed with quick
mount/dismount in mind, but with day in and out work in it's day. If you don't need the 3 pt, won't be a problem.

I know the front axel is not adjustable. Here is a pic of the front of the tractor. It has a thick solid metal lower protective shell for the radiator

Picked up the backhoe. It came off a MF30 Industrial. MY best guess is that it is a MF54A Backhoe. I am needing a picture of where the Boom pins into transport position. The one I have looks like someone tried to weld on a piece of metal with a hole for the pin to go through to be locked but broke. I am needing to know what inserts between the the boom transport bracket as seen in picture.

The backhoe was actually on a MF30. I am trying to confirm what backhoe model I have. The only numbers I can get off it are on the rotary cylinder 708714M92.

After looking on AGCO it looks like I have a 52 / 212 backhoe. The Link Assembly Arms came of a MF30 Industrial and they pinned on a welded vertical piece of steel. Mine has a square coupler pictured below. Do you have the same mount on yours?

(quoted from post at 19:12:27 12/01/19) mf 30 industrial tractor came out with a 54 backhoe and 34 front loader.

I was able to find a painted over model number that reads MF52, so that ends my guess work. I just hope the link arms will fit on my MF40.

I attempted to mount the MF52 backhoe to a MF32 loader in quickly noticed that the backhoe has a mounting width of 38" and My rear tractor mounting brackets have a width of 45.24". The sill assembly does not bolt directly on since the beam on my MF34 is slightly wider.

Any ideas on the best way to mount a MF52 to a MF34 frame?

Here are some pics.

jaypat88 I know you have already installed this backhoe on your tractor but I think this thread is a good resource for information. What I would like to point out because I also learned this the hard way is that the mounting kits for these MF backhoes and these MF industrial tractors mf 20,30,40,200 or 2135 etc. are dependant on: the backhoe model, the loader one of 32, 34, 100 or 200 AND the TRACTOR REAR AXLE! The dinner tractor of this mf52 backhoe had the malleable iron axle so even though it also had the mf34 loader, the side frame is different from the side frame for the same loader model if the tractor is equipped with the cast iron axle like yours with its large squarish geometry. And this completely changes the mounting kit sill assemblies and the link assemblies. Did you end up getting the correct ones from a wrecker or make your own? On the cast axle the oem sill assemblies go forward and have straps that make use of the same bolt as the upper links unlike the malleable axle ones that use the U clamps.
