MF40 industrial injectors

Got the injectors out. Disassembled, cleaned and
new tips installed. Does anyone have the pressure
setting for the 2.5 liter Perkins diesel. Haven?t gotten
the manual here yet.

With new spring 2500 PSI, used spring up to ten percent less is allowed.

Shop manual I have says 2500 psi with used injectors (more than 25 operating hours). New injectors, or used injectors with new springs 2720 psi.

Spec I quoted was taken from the CAV/Lucas/Delphi spec book. Always tickles me how some are so worried about the EXACT setting, when in most cases it's not that critical. For example, United Technologies/Ambac has 3500-3650 setting for new IH injectors, but they don't need reset unless they fall below 2900 PSI. Screw adjustable injectors can be set closer since they are easier to set. Shim type take more time as they must come apart to change shims.

I figure Perkins would know the optimal settings for their engines. The little bit of a different setting may make a noticeable improvement in engine performance which is what I'm always looking for.
