MF50 industrial instant reverse problem

Hello all,

I'm new here, so I think a small introduction would be good. A couple of months ago I have bought a 1971 Massey Ferguson MF50 industrial (backhoe) tractor, here in Sweden. The label actually mentions the type MF50R, but I think that might be the name the Swedish importer gave it (I can find no references to a model R on the internet and the serial number on the dashboard starts with MF50). It has a non-standard cab and lights, which were apparently done by the Swedish importer at that time.

I'd like to include some photo's, but apparently I am not allowed to do so.

Since a week, I am having a problem with the tractor. Often when I'm accelerating quickly or when I'm driving around at full throttle, a very loud noise can be heard. At first it reminded me a bit of grinding gears, but now I think it might be something else.
When I let go of the accelerator pedal (it has the instant reverse transmission, with a fork like pedal that controls forward or reverse direction) the noise stops immediately. If I accelerate carefully again, everything is normal.

I have made a short video where the problem can be seen and heard, but I think I'm not allowed to post any Youtube links either...

I'm suspecting an issue with the torque converter. Perhaps a bad bearing (stator bearing?). Anyone here who knows or has any idea?

/Hugo

Here is another try to post the video, it would be really great if someone recognizes the cause of this loud noise:
